Headcanon that the reason why Max has two possible longer names (Maximillian in Telltale, Maxwell in the cartoon) is because he’s trans and chose said longer name himself but since he’s so used to going by “Max” he keeps forgetting what his name is, so he randomly gives one of the two names as an answer each time a new person asks about it.

OK SO! I did a Camp Camp version of my Prince AU, so here's Max's design and the basic rundown:
Max is the prince, however since he's trans he's born as a princess, until he meets Nerris, a fae, who does a spell to transition him into a prince and change everyone's memories of him. The only people who ever remember him being a princess are Neil and Nikki
Neil and Nikki are servants in the castle, that's how he meets them and they form a secret friend group. Nikki is sort of chronically ill because she can rarely go out and roll around in dirt. He ends up secretly dating Neil. We're also going to ignore how white and Jewish people are in ancient India because that's what we do in the prince AUs, we just want everyone in the same place
Nerris, as I said, is a fae. In exchange for turning Max into a prince, they requested to be introduced to Harrison (who's on the entertainment staff along with Preston) because... well they're only the human equivalent of 10, and Cute Boy. Harrison, however, ends up being half fae and finds out when meeting Nerris. Previously he was regarded as being extremely underdeveloped because he ages slower due to being part fae (1.5 years for 1 human year)
One is based on @wd-maxy ‘s skin disease/disorder AU and the other two are based on this fic
