Skate or die nerds 🤓
So, a list of fun happy things that happened when I went to the skatepark with my friend:
• A little boy asked his mum if we were boys and it gave us lots of euphoria
• My friend gave a bike back to a little boys parents after he fell off and the mum said, “isn’t he a nice boy for doing that?” And that was super awesome
• I figured out I was drinking dumb bitch juice because I’ve been getting onto my board wrong the past few weeks which was causing my already bad balance to be even worse on the board, but I can now get onto it properly and it feels super stable!!
• Lots of doggies!! So many of them!!
• I’ve developed that sort of “masc confidence” when talking to people and I think it helps me read as a guy more cause of that
• I got to flex the fact that I have super dark scruffy body hair so it helps me pass too
• I felt genuinely comfy in my own body for the first time in years

Wanna come play skate. with me?
So I went on a journey in my broken ass car to go visit @step-roseward I had a fucking blast with her! She’s absolutely incredible! The 900km I drove was completely worth it! I’ll definitely be back very soon! Also Finn took it like a champ. Definitely wasn’t happy but he did it and I’m proud of him!
Hey, since you skate, what are your thoughts on Flatlandia?
So I’m not much of a freestyle skater. It’s super cool just not for me. I like my stairs, ledges and manny pads. I do have a lot of respect and admiration for the freestyle guys tho. Some of their tricks are wild 🤯. I certainly can’t do them. I mean I can casper flip and stuff but it’s not the same. So yeah, I’m happy someone is out there pushing for freestyle to be cool again. I feel like it was dying for a while. It would be tragic for the sport if it did. It’s our roots. Where modern day skateboarding evolved from. If it wasn’t for freestyle we wouldn’t have the kick flip or any other flip trick for the matter. But yea I’m here for it ❤️
Also I love that they have a whole website dedicated to freestyle. That’s super cool. Honestly it’s a really good resource for anyone wanting to or already into freestyle skateboarding.
