Second Chance AU - Hot Soup: The Game/Portal Jacked!
Okay, moving a couple episodes out of order because of future story planning, and also going to be adjusting these ones quite a bit to fit the AU. Let's go!
Hot Soup: The Game:
Episode starts out the same, except it's Leo who volunteers to go get the game, using his portals as an excuse. (He actually wants to go because he knows the Foot Clan were looking for something at the auction house, probably a Shredder armor piece, and he wants to try and find it.) Raph, in typical fashion, is very nervous about letting Leo go, but Leo promises he'll be quick.
Once there, he quickly grabs the game before taking a look around. There, he runs into the Foot Recruit, aka Cassandra Jones. Now, Leo is very worried about this because in his 'memories', Cass eventually joins the family as an honorary Hamato. Not quite sister status yet, more like estranged cousin, but getting there. But considering what happened to Draxum, Leo doesn't want it to happen again. So, he decides to try and befriend her now, so maybe she'll leave the Foot Clan early.
Now Donnie was immediately watching cams the second that Leo said he wanted to go to the auction house, and starts panicking, alerting his brothers that Leo is talking to a member of the Foot Clan. They all come to the only obvious conclusion.
All three: LEO HAS A THING FOR BAD GIRLS!!!
Donnie blames himself; clearly his 'emotionless bad-boy persona' has subconsciously convinced his twin that bad boys/girls/enbys are safe and good to be around. Mikey thinks Leo is finally entering his rebellious phase, and Raph doesn't care why, he just knows Leo's heart is too delicate for the turmoil of dealing with a bad girl! So the brothers hop in the Turtle Tank and race off to rescue Leo!
Meanwhile, the Foot Clan tell Cass that they want Leo alive because he's the one who took the broken piece of the armor. Cass goes on the attack and Leo tries to defend himself while still bonding. It's...not working well. The Foot Lieutenant and Brute arrive and realize just what is happening.
Foot Brute: Oh no.
Foot Lieutenant: He's trying to pull a 'Good Guy' trap! Lure her from the Foot Clan with false promises of being 'nice' and 'good' and 'friendly!'
Cass is horrified that she didn't realize it; she watched all those warning videos for nothing! Leo is incredibly confused, and that's when his brothers jump in to safe him from the 'succubus' and her sultry bad-girl ways! So, essentially everyone now thinks Leo just had a 'love at first sight' moment with Cass. (He really didn't.)
The Foot Clan leaves after realizing the artifact isn't there, and Leo is rushed home and forced to sit through Donnie's Powerpoint on "Why Baddies are Truly Bad to Date". All of Leo's denials are ignored, and Splinter pats him on the head, reminiscing on all the baddies he dated in the past.
Back at the Foot Clan, Cass is rewatching the presentation "Why a Good Guy isn't Really a Good Guy" while the Lieutenant and Brute talk about the Good Guys and Girls who tried to lure them away from the Foot Clan.
(As a note, if you do ship Leo and Cass, this isn't a dig against you. Ship what you like! It's just that in this specific AU, I don't see their relationship as romantic. This is more of a joke about how in the other TMNT shows I've watched, Leo's definitely got a thing for bad girls, aka Karai.)
Portal Jacked!:
This one has a lot of changes that I'm really looking forward to. First off, Leo doesn't accidentally lose his brothers in a portal. Instead, he overhears a little bit of a LSL meeting and feels really bad since his family is so stressed out and it's all his fault. Then he remembers how his brothers really enjoyed their time in Tahiti, and makes a plan.
That weekend, he calls over his family plus April and Sunita and shows them how he can portal them to a small tropical island, completely uninhabited. Everyone oohs and ahhs...and doesn't notice when Leo leaves them there, closing the portal after him. They find a note telling them that Leo prepared a private vacation for them to enjoy, and he'll pick them up after they've had a day to themselves.
Everyone: LEEEOOOO!!!!!
The family obviously doesn't want to vacation without Leo, so they try to make a plan to either get home themselves or bring Leo to them. Mikey spots a pirate ship, and can see the flashes of what look like portals...so now the Hamatos are going after pirates!
Back at the lair, Leo cleans the entire thing from top to bottom. When he runs out of things to do, he teleports to April's apartment and starts cleaning there.
The family takes control of the ship, but the portal maker obviously flees so they take their new ship and start sailing to find a portal maker who won't run away! ...This lasts a while, they get a fleet of 9 ships! (Donnie finds a way to automate them so they don't need to try and sail with only six people.)
Thinking that Mikey probably won't want to cook after his vacation, Leo teleports to Run of the Mill to order dinner for tonight. Hueso immediately clocks that Leo is alone and basically pushes him into a booth. He orders some Champion Pizza for him and also makes a quick phone call...
Less than five minutes later, in walks Hueso's lovely wife, Senora Espina and their son, Hueso Jr, who is 6. Jr immediately recognizes Leo from his picture on the Wall of Champions and rushes over to sit with him, asking if he can eat together and all these other questions. Leo, a little terrified because Hueso wouldn't introduce them to his son last time (something about them being bad influences), hesitantly answers questions while Espina slides in next to her son.
The reason that Hueso called his wife is that Espina is a professional mystic healer. She runs a clinic in New York for yokai who can't or won't go to the Hidden City for help. Leo has been setting off a bunch of warning bells in Hueso, and he wants his wife to check Leo out. Leo, on the other hand, immediately is interested in learning medicine from her because of all the problems his family has with human medicine.
While his family has finally found a way to make portals and is teleporting all over to random countries (portals are hard), Leo is spending the day at Senora's clinic, asking her a ton of questions about mystic medicines and going over his family records while also partially babysitting Jr. He almost misses the alarm he set to go pick up the pizza before making a portal to get his family.
The Hamatos somehow managed to teleport themselves right back to the original island before sagging down to watch the sunset together. They barely get relaxed on the towels before Leo pops up to take them home. Everyone is about to scold him for not coming with them, but Leo is already talking about his day with the Huesos and how he's going to spend more time at the clinic learning medicine and also babysitting and he's so excited the family can't be angry with him. Doesn't mean they aren't plotting though...
The next day, Sunita claims that she forgot something on the island and could Leo please portal them back so she can find it? He does, of course, where he's shoved through the portal, his sword confiscated, and everyone is prepared to have a proper vacation day with the whole family.
