Just blocked someone bc they had a stupid take imo abt trans Ze.
They were saying that him being raised to "be a man" and be aggressive, and never cry, and never back down wouldnt make sense if he was afab. And that him being afab would take away from his character.
And I dont agree bc as soon as I came out as trans at around 13-14 (i cant remember exactly when), I was expected to be a man. To be aggressive, and strong, and not show emotion or act girly.
Some transmasc ppl do get the normal boy treatment after coming out, and my personal Ze headcanon has that exact thing.
My Ze hc is that he came out while young (9-12), his parents then used this to abuse him worse. If he didnt act like a boy, he would get misgendered and dead named. He would get told he was acting like a girl and that he would never pass if he acted like that. His transness was used against him to force him into a specific way of acting like a boy.
I personally believe that Ze being transmasc just adds more to his character, and that person who made the post just doesn't have the right perspective to see that bc they didnt have the same trans experience.
This person was also complaining abt not seeing Ze being dysphoric in fics, which i think is their own problem bc i see it decently often when i read.
They also complained that trans Ze smut was fetishizing trans ppl, and I also dont personally see that one, if anything him being a trans dude without bottom surgery (and especially when hes not dysphoric abt having a vagina) feels very relatable to me as a transmasc who is not dysphoric abt that and doesnt plan on getting bottom surgery.
