It's a burden living in a body that doesn't feel comfortably your own. It's a burden receiving looks, comments and hate for trying to become comfortable to align your body's appearance with the hormones in your head. It's a burden having to figure out how you feel while others walk proudly as themselves, naturally. It is a burden enough for these who have to go through it but it makes them strong. These people are not a burden, they're strong for what they've overcome mentally and physically and although I undoubtedly do not believe in war, I know that going through that kind of process mentally for anyone would be hard enough, it would be a burden, and to then receive the negative treatment they do becomes more of a burden. Transphobia is a burden, homophobia is a burden, hate is a fucking big burden. #transarenotaburden
