Dave/Klaus is one of the few romantic subplots that I ever really enjoyed (one of those that I felt like it was good on it's own instead of the queerness or how likable the characters were). Also, that person is really making me want to punch them.

Yeah exactly. Like I personally find Diego and Eudora's romance boring. Not because they're straight, I just don't find bickering exes cute. The Klaus and Dave story line however, is something I wish to consume more of because it's interesting.

And I think that person needs a nap tbh

minor characters who do nothing much other than further a main character plot/development happen in a lot of stories and I don't see people having this amount of hate. part of me believes that people just don't like the idea of a minor gay character being loved by gay people. I'm sorta indifferent about Dave and this still makes my blood boil.

Yeah!! Not to mention how unique and compelling the story is. It won my heart over completely and I feel like it can't be recreated. That's the part I like the most about it.

a thing that bothers me about this Dave situation is that people feel like they need to justify not liking him. I mean, people have the right to dislike a character and have no reason. I guess people don't get that you don't need to justify it and they come with offensive reasons to something that don't even need a reason.

Yeah exactly. You don't need a reason to not like him, but also:

Don't like that we know nothing about him so he's not interesting to you? Valid!

Feel like he's a crutch to quickly further along Klaus' character development? Super valid! (and almost agree with this, depending on what happens in season 2)

Not liking him because he's "just another gay"? Not very valid! Sorry!
