i love how soft drinks couldnt be better engineered to make you... soft. from the moment it touches your lips, a burst of sugar that your brain is hard-wired to keep suckling on. its as dense of a quantity of sugar and corn syrup that a drink could be without being the consistency of thick, rich tree sap. its most of your daily sugar in a single serving, but you won't limit yourself to just one. not only does all that spike your blood sugar like crazy, making you crave even more sweets and tricking you into being hungrier, but the carbonation stretches your stomach, until it releases, leaving your stomach even bigger and emptier and hungrier. not to mention that this system— sugar sap, water, carbonation— is so cheap and easily transportable that you could sit your fat, expanding ass in front of a soda machine with unlimited refills and get thousands of quick, sugary calories (which will melt right into fat) for just a few dollars. do that every day and you could train yourself to be a real fatty.
