The need to write more and write better.
When I was in grade school I would write in my journal or diary on a daily basis. It wasn’t anything creative. Most of my entries were of the meals I had that day, interesting events that occurred, how I was feeling, or how annoyed I was of my younger sibling. As the years rolled by, I just gradually fell out of this journal writing habit. It’s a shame really. I want to start this habit again, but in blog form.
I have to admit that I have attempted to run blogs in the past where I made promises to myself that I will publish content regularly. However, the plan always end up failing. I am crossing my fingers and praying that this blog will work out!
The reason why I want to run a blog and post every now and then is to brush up on my writing skill (or lack thereof). I am currently reading Ann Handley’s Everybody Writes and am feeling quite inspired by it. Everybody can write. I am not the type of person who can articulate things very well—more so when I speak—so I feel that writing often can help me bridge this communication gap.
