This morning I heard whisperings that Wolfsburg is interested in signing him...?
Ok so obviously I really, really don’t want him to leave... but I am starting to feel like it’s inevitable, as much as I hate to say it. I want him to have a starting place for every game - and I’m sure he wants the same thing. And I’m honestly not sure that’s going to be possible for him at BVB anymore. Mo is super close to extending his contract, and also I heard they are planning to stick with Witsel going forward. And still not even one bit of talk about extending Thomas’s contract. To me, I see the hopes of him staying getting slimmer and slimmer.
So... with all that in mind... I don’t hate the idea of him at Wolfsburg. I actually think they would be a good fit for him. I used to watch them and I really enjoyed their style of football. I could see him there. I would 100% watch him there. PLUS I really don’t want him to go to the Premier League... like AT ALL.
Way better for him to stay in the Bundesliga!! Also if he goes to VFL he will have CL football and still be at a strong club that can make a challenge for the title. And I love that for him.
So... still holding out hope that he doesn’t leave BVB - BUT if he does, pleeasseee let it be Wolfsburg.
