Darkwing is a very...challenged bot when it comes to his anger issues, meaning if he's angry he's angry and he's not afraid to show it. The only time he is afraid to show he's upset over simple things like miners, is when you're around.
Sometimes when Darkwing gets a little too frustrated and raises his servos to punch a miner bot in retaliation, you'll step in and grab his servo stopping him right before he hurt the poor bot.
Right then and there Darkwing pauses, like he's just heard boss music, and for the first time Darkwing felt true fear. If anyone could make Darkwing shut up and leave miners alone, it'd either be superiors or yourself.
He's genuinely so annoyed yet so embarrassed everytime you drag him by the antenna and get all up in his face plate, ranting about how he needs to treat miner bots with respect. It's kind of hot in his opinion, not that he'd ever admit it.
Every bot around you both, especially Orion and D-16, have no clue why you're with this piece of scrap. A bot as sweet and caring and empathetic as you with a bot as rough and rude as Darkwing doesn't make sense. What chemistry in your spark told you he was the one?
Despite Darkwing being aggressive and rude and just overall a glitch, surprisingly he's an okay boyfriend. He won't show exact PDA or anything, but definitely he's all for physical touch in secret. Can't have any bot see him when he's most vulnerable, which is around you.
Darkwing is WRAPPED around your servo, just like other bots he has no clue what magnetized you to him, but your sweet and caring attitude has him melted into scrap. He's open to nicknames and sweet gestures, he's just not up to being teased about it.
Darkwing is supposed to be this bigger and powerful higher ranked racer bot, so he'd like to keep your relationship as secretive or private as possible. Though when jealous, Darkwing for once will be affectionate in front of others. Especially if he's jealous of a miner bot, he can't let a miner bot try and make a move on his partner. Not on his watch.
Usually when you catch Darkwing harassing a miner bot trying to do their job, probably Orion, you're beyond pissed. Primus knows that you care a lot for cogless miner bots, and seeing your bully boyfriend pick on them? Absolutely not. For once Darkwing shuts up about how worthless a miner bot is, and he starts to spew apologies not even to the miner, but to you. Which is quite a sight, one tough racer turned pleading boyfriend begging for forgiveness.
And when you're not around, Darkwing torments all the miner bots in the area. He just got sneakier with being a bully, and when you catch him again for the one hundredth cycle he'll quite literally yell 'what the frag' because he thought he was sneaky with it. But what you weren't around to hear was that he was flexing about you while bullying the miner bot, makes things a little better? Nope, he's still going to get a lot of scolding and yelling from you. Regardless, Darkwing adores you and will always despite you actually caring for the miners.
