Cracky G1 Starscream headcanon/theory

G1 Starscream's whole "Megatron has fallen/faced the slightest inconvenience/ ect, so I'm the new leader " gag originally started as deeply sarcastic mockery whenever Megatron did something clumsy/unmacho.

Unfortunately for Megatron, some Decepticons laughed the first time Starscream said it, encouraging him to make a sort of schtick out of it.

Starscream using the lines as a coup attempt was a much, much, much later thing after years of war, malnutrition, and improperly treated head injuries.

It's take Megatron an almost comedic amount of time to realize that Starscream's serious, not just being really annoying.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 He promises to you that the Jazz of your timelines is definitely gonna find you know that he knows you. Bots live for a long time yet, so he's confident he'll be able to see you again. For now, he semi-sadly gives you a sparkfelt farewell as you carry his CD in hand
