Sharing a dorm with Megatron, Starscream, TC, Skywarp and, more importantly, Swerve, is the crew of misfits known as the Nav5. Though there are usually six people in the room during the day, only five are students.
Friendly to a somewhat(?) threatening degree, Sputter is 100% the child of upper class creators with a total of fifteen ancillary parents and not a gutterchild who accidentally wound up passing the entry exam for the JAAT. Close to Maccadam among other faculty, Sputter has interesting habits that the “other” upper class younglings she is forced to associate with to keep up appearances has befriended find eccentric and quirky. One of the habits is preferring the company of social rejects, like the loner Deadlock or one of two blue, rotor bladed cyclopses. A little bit of a whiz with communications equipment, Sputter does tech work for Megatron’s Knights of Unicron, occasionally slipping him potential lyrics.
Spinout Tripredacus of Velocitron
Spinout is not a turntable why do people keep saying that? The things on her shoulders are hoverwheels and she is clearly a speedster originally from Velocitron everyone here is just stupid. Her roommate Opi vouches that she’s definitely a Velocitronian and HE would know. Spinout would rather saw off her own Pedes than participate in music in any way, and has a bit of a class skipping problem as a result. Her favorite teacher by far is Wheeljack who as a fellow chemical engineer encourages her pursuits probably a little too much. Of course, chemical engineering isn’t the End Goal- That would be one day captaining her own cross planetary transport or exploration vessel. And there’s No Way In Well her stupid COUSIN is going to beat her to that goal.
Opus Magnus of Velocitron-
Is not related to the autobot hero Ultra Magnus as far as he knows. Maybe he is, it’s not like he’s ever seen the guy. Born without optical function, Opi’s favorite pastimes are playing with people’s discomfort at his disability for his amusement and “accidentally” tripping Mirage with his sight cane. Opi was adopted by an upper class couple out of the crèche specifically because of his blindness as part of a trend, and this resulted in a very “hot and cold” upbringing. Opi isn’t much of an academic type, and is really mainly here to get away from his creators and get a start on his dream career of being a celebrity chef. He is almost always accompanied by his ABSC (acredited beastformer sight companion), Gear Fiatti, and the two can be found cooking during the majority of Opi’s downtime.
Nervous, nerdy, and easily forgettable, Moonwhisper is just here to learn medicine thank you very much. The only truly academic of his roommates, Moon is attentive and quietly studious-until an opportunity for snarking presents itself that is. Though his reputation back home says differently, Moon is a very submissive person which makes him easy but unsatisfying to push around because of what a good sport he is about it. Plus most of the pushing around happens due to his chronically mistaken identity. Not that he minds. To Moonwhisper, being compared to the beautiful, handsome, self assured glitch Starscream is a compliment. Even if he gets the cybe equivalent of swirlied over it occasionally. His new friends Skywarp and Thundercracker have taken to pointing out the finer features of literally every other mecha in the school to him for some reason.
Hailing proudly from Tarn Bluebird is not exactly the least conspicuous mecha in the school. Being a size five triplechanger would be intimidating enough without her plethora of scars and strange scaling that makes transforming to treaded earthmover painful and adds a touch of grotesque to her frame for any gentlemecha gazing upon her. Under that hideous complexion is a hypercalculative empath who prefers to eat alone at mealtimes. Somehow she’s managed to become one of the top students at the JAAT despite that atrocious grammar and tendency to erupt during class. [Bluebird is already showing prowess at not only astronomy and astrophysics, but she is displaying an unsurprising dedication to sociohistorical disciplines and xenoethnograpy. -Rung] At least she isn’t a barbaric beastformer.
