2006 vs 2017: 10 plus years may separate these pictures, but the journey I’ve been on has carried me through far more than just the thousands of obstacles I've overcome in that time, whether it be good, bad, or ugly. I no longer recognize the insecure, full of self-hatred tomboy in the picture on the left. What traces of her body that lingered are now gone. Looking at this comparison, there’s no question anymore: I’m a MAN now! Damn proud of it, too. Never in this life have I felt more at peace with the body that houses my soul and soon that journey will be complete next week with my hysterectomy surgery on July 20th. Gender transition, creative art, and working out all require great patience, discipline, and persistence. Only with time can we see the changes- the progress- and appreciate how far we’ve come. Something about life motivates us to keep living, whether it be negative or positive because even when we’re put down to the worst, we just get stronger.
