@transjester64's Winslow - seen here wearing Ralph Lauren.
(based on an ad in the September Vogue issue - I received my copy today and thought this model looked cool)
Details + lineart under the cut
Had a thought
Very true
The master of side-eyes (and being very judgmental).
Your art is so cool. Even when it's fandoms I'm not big into, it still is fun to look at/read. Plus your original stuff is so so cool.
Thanks a lot🥺
I’m so happy to see people interested in my original creations😭
How did you go about publishing your comics on a website like that? :O Is it just your own website?
It sure is my own website!
Topaz Comics is just me (the artist) and my partner Michelle (the writer). We wanted a place to post all our comics, whatever we're working on, so I went ahead and made the site back in 2017. It started out being just for Dead City but as we made more comics I really wanted it to be a big hub for all our stuff!
I use wordpress to make my sites and have kind of trial-and-error'd it until I achieve the look/optimization I want. I'm always fiddling with it. But it's been really nice to be in complete control over an online space, I'm free from social media rules, updates, or weird UI changes. I highly recommend making your own site if you're posting comics!
One day I'd like to do a guide or talk on how to make/manage your own site.
Your new icon is very pretty! I mean all of your art is really but yeah!
Awww thank you!! I kept going back and forth on what style to draw it in but I’m pretty happy with the result! ╰(*´︶`*)╯
I was scrolling through your blog and stumbled upon your hourly comic and just, I felt very validated. I love drawing and being an artist, but omg, sometimes stuff just won't turn out right.
Everyone has those kinds of days, and I think it's super important to showcase that sometimes. I've been doing comics for 10 years now and I still struggle!
You're not alone.
