Double circuit, double bundled 161 kV Zhonggang–Zhangyi transmission line upgrade in Taichung, Taiwan
Taiwan Power Company completed their double circuit, double bundled 161 kV Zhonggang – Zhangyi transmission line upgrade in Taichung, Taiwan to increase line capacity and improve efficiency and reliability.
Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC) completed the first ACCC® Conductor installation. Spans included highway crossings of up to 603 meters.
With the help of Gupta Power Infrastructure Ltd as a principal Contractor, BPC completed their first two ACCC® Conductor installations in Bhutan. Existing steel lattice structures were used without modification.

Originally built in the 1960s, the 52 km line runs between substations in Diemen, a suburb of Amsterdam, and Lelystad City in the Markemeer. The triple-bundle, twin-circuit line needed to be upgraded to take in increasing flows of renewable energy from onshore and offshore sources, part of TenneT’s Beter Benutten Bestaande 380 kV program. By […]
By choosing advanced ACCC® Conductor, TenneT is able to increase transmission capacity from 2,500 to over 4,000 amps with a minimum of structural work. As is typical for TenneT’s 380 kV network, the conductor is in triple-bundle configuration.
Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited completed first two ACCC® Conductor Installations
CTC Global is pleased to announce that Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited in India completed their first two ACCC® Conductor Installations earlier this year.
CTC Global History - CTC, of Irvine, California, USA, (now CTC Global) began developing the patented ACCC® conductor in 2002
CTC Global began developing the patented ACCC® Conductor in 2002. The objective was to develop a conductor that could be used to upgrade existing transmission corridors without structural modifications.
ACCC conductor core is twice as strong as steel and 70% lighter. Lighter weight allows ACCC to use ~28% more aluminum w/o weight or diameter penalty.
U.S. utility recently discovered, the ACCC® Conductor’s improved efficiency is saving their customers nearly one million dollars every year as a result of decreased line losses.
