♠: Punch / slap / blow to the face.
It was obvious that the woman had a fight in her. she was feisty, feistier than any other woman he’s ever run across. he’s not sure if that’s a good or bad thing it’s a mix of both, really. he doesn’t know her name, her age, doesn’t know anything about her besides that she’s smart and has a sharp tongue. once she hands over the ace, he’ll get rid of her and leave her body to the splicers. they won’t do much besides kick her out of the way and loot her pockets and she’ll become just another corpse in this sunken city. another one buried at sea.
he holds his hand out impatiently for the ace, glaring her down with distaste and carelessness. he doesn’t even view her as a person just a stepstone for him. with that ace, his path would be simple and quicker to complete. he has to bite back a grin when she starts handing the note over, but it disappears just as quickly when she slaps him strongly enough to make him stumble. his jaw burns and he knows that’s going to leave a mark. it takes him off guard and leaves him absolutely speechless. his men raise their guns and aim them at elizabeth, but atlas stops them by lifting a hand. now, exactly why would he let such a daring woman die? he rubs at his lip and wipes off a bit of blood from there, grin cracking wide.
” oh, feelin’ darin’, are we? ya know what? i might as well jus’ keep ya alive, darlin’. you’ll do well as my bitch. ”
he laughs and yanks the ace from her fingers, returning the slap with the back of his hand. this girl had no idea what she was getting herself into.
