What does REG stand for?

 Reactionary Exclusionist Gatekeeper. This is someone who Gate Keeps/’protects’ a community or group intensely and tries to disclude people from it for a variety of reasons. Here are some examples of gate keeping that would make you a REG:

 Calling someone ‘not really trans’ because they don’t want hormone therapy

 Calling someone ‘not really trans’ because they are nonbinary

 Saying bisexual people don’t belong in the LGBTQ community because they experience liking a gender other than their own

 Not allowing a gay person to join a religion that is or is known to be anti-gay because they don’t ‘follow god/holy figure/a religious text’.

 Not allowing trans women to be included in feminism/safe places because one considers them ‘not women enough/not a real woman’

 Saying someone is not part of a community is not instantly considered Gate Keeping. If someone were to say ‘im straight but im an ally so I want to be part of the LGBTQ community’ there is a valid reason there to say no. The lines can seem sticky and it can be difficult to know what really counts so don’t be afraid to ask me or anyone else more questions.

Azealia Banks is another example of a transphobic fool.

Here you have a self proclaimed queer black women basically saying “eww they say I look like a tranny” Excuse me but her name is Laverne and she's a woman just like your edgeless ass. AB doesn’t see Ms. Cox as a woman but as a man playing dress up and the fact that she feels it's negative by being compared to Ms. Cox is pathetic and sad. Being a New Yorker I know AB has heard about the violence against trans people of color. A trans woman was just beaten death weeks ago in NYC. Transphobia has taken many lives. Hell I’m sure AB has borrowed from the iconic lgbt community in New York. But I guess Banks thinks its room for only her brand of queerness. Azealia is right they don’t look a like cause she could never be that beautiful inside and out. I’m sure she’ll defend this like she defended her internalized homophobia when it comes to gay men. I’m tired of her stupid ass though this was the last straw.
