Trans day of visibility! Dream he/him
March 31st, 2017. Transgender Day of Visibility. This is me raw, in the flesh. I am who I am unapologetically and I can't say I always have been aware that I was trans since age 5, that wouldn't be accurate. What is accurate, is yes, I was different. I always felt like something was unique about me but I struggled from 7 years old (when Dad died, Mom died when I was 12 and Grandmother died when I was 14 and a close Uncle when I was 17 ), through 20 off and on with anorexia I never felt skinny enough, or good enough. I hated wearing dresses, skirts etc but I did because that was what I was told is "feminine" and girly and I was marked as a girl and grew up that way, but was always unhappy and that it wasn't who I really was. But I finally came to terms and started living authentically in 2010 after identifying as lesbian for 15 years . This is when I changed my name to a name that would fit me as my authentic self. That became legal in 2015 and really the rest is history but I will never forget the day I decided enough is enough with trying to make others happy. My own HAPPINESS was most important and I'm much happier and in control of my OWN destiny. I have a unique mission and it's no coincidence that I'm trans. I am here to help others and to give back. I'm tremendously grateful for this journey, including the struggles of losing family because I now have friends who are my family now and they celebrate my existence and love me for who I am. Don't hide who you are be proud and visual not just today, but always. Whenever you are ready, you will know. Love, Nyo. #transtakeover #transtakeoverselfies #TDOV #Transgenderdayofvisibility #transdayofvisibility
