happy trans day of visibility transness is just any gender expression that doesn't fit into the two categories that we're told exist.

There's infinitely more complex ideas about how to practice gender historically and EVERY SINGLE ONE and every one a person decides fro themselves is equally valid! Even amongst cis people, the ideas that these gender roles represent are oppressive and limiting of what we believe is possible for us to be, to claim it's decided by nature, but it's something culturally and socially reinforced repeatedly, and needs to be enforced by laws.

Shit's getting worse for trans people in many states, in other countries, these struggles are connected wtih the struggles of all marginalized people, and while this holiday is a reflection of gender identities out of the norm, the same force that tries to erase and oppress us is the same that has done the same to countless peoples for centuries, of people in power demanding confomity to their standards. We must stand together, and we should learn to understand one another and build connections.

Transgender day of visibility!! I am finally able to be somewhat visible in my life. I am excited for the future of the trans community and for all the joy the community brings to those like me.
