i had the same prob with my mum too. it took about 2 years of asking to let me do it. its a v hard thing for parents when their kids want to dye their hair or get piercings. hair dye isnt that expensive in uk! !

my sister has the same problem bc her hair is like a poodle, v poofy and wavy, so it gets frizzy and huge when she curls it. but to keep it from doing that, she gets argan oil and puts it on b4 she straightens it.
