wait who are those new hero family's?
There's four! The Lupines, Traqueteos, Koshkas, and Woos. They likely won't show up much in the story but I wanted try my hand at world building a bit.
The Maos are one of the oldest Hero families, and they used to be the most famous, however in recent years they have become less known because they're not as flashy as the other families. The Maos are very traditional so most people kinda started to forget about them because they're "boring." Still though, thanks to all of Mao Mao's sisters, they are beginning to make a comeback.
The Traqueteos are a hero family of snakes (specifically rattle snakes) that live in the south. They're very popular down there, but they're relatively unknown in the North. I based them heavily off old school cowboys so picture that XD
The Woos are owl heroes that are famous for protecting royalty specifically. They are very "uptight" and snotty, but they are well liked in more urban areas close to the castles. However, when it comes to the country, they aren't very well known. I couldn't help myself and make them based off the French lol (I am French in case you don't know)
The Lupines, a hero family of wolves, specialize jn big cities. They often go into bounty hunting, thanks to how bold and brazen they are. They're known to be quite savage and rude, but they are very very popular! I based them off Western stereotypes lol. These guys are the Americans XD
And finally, the Koshkas. They're known to be the Maos biggest rival, thanks to the fact that they're also a hero family of cats. Like the Maos, they don't really stick to any specific terrain, they travel the continent and help where they can. However, unlike the Maos who boast in the spotlight, the Koshkas are very secretive. There's practically no information about them, which only makes people more curious! They're very popular because of this. I also gave these guys more Russian vibes ^^
