Could it be that some things you consider rotten, worth casting to the refuse bin, and having no more useful life, might still have potential? These ‘rotten’ pencils were almost discarded by impatient children. I don’t say this to their discredit. To be a child is to be impatient, to not fully understand a thing’s worth, to move on to the next if the current seems not to be functioning. I said it’s the way of a child. But to the more mature, something close to the trash might yet be resurrected as treasure. A little strategy, a new sharpener...I mean a sharpened perspective, a valiant effort, and a healthy injection of hope—heck even just a little time—might draw years more out of that thing that seemed disposable in a period of frustration. What is it you are ready to cast off in this quiet moment? Where did you leave hope behind? Who made you think that it was over for you? Oh no child, there’s life in you yet. There’s grace for that situation, there’s returns on that investment, there’s hope for tomorrow. There just may be a point of return. #trashvstreasure #yellowpencilsftw #2Bornot2B #castdownbutnotdestroyed #hopealive #pointofreturn #taooutloud @itspronouncedtao No writing instruments were harmed in the making of this post. https://www.instagram.com/p/BpCPmSpgOlq/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10vjulj8fq33w
