Another Little Free Library catch and release: “The Clown” by Carter Brown is 50% as salacious and 100% as trashy as the cover promises/threatens; it’s a not terribly twisty whodunnit that serves as a delivery system for wry quips, a couple of lurid set pieces, and some classic 1970s leering.
