“Well I can help you. I have an extra band-aid right here.” Nanashi quickly passed the girl a band-aid. “Don’t be afraid to slow down a bit. Can’t have people getting hurt. That would suck!” The shut in looked at the girl. “Was the person you recognized a friend?”

    “What a relief.. I’m lucky I ran into you. Thank you.” Taking the bandage into her hands, she slowly un-wrapped it and placed it on her knee. “Ah, how embarrassing. I’ll make sure to be more careful from now on. I-I know it sounds strange, but.. I thought I saw Mami-san. I don’t think she’s in this city, but.. Maybe I just miss her a lot.”

He hadn’t expected to wake up so early in the morning, much less be unable to fall back asleep. Osomatsu yawned periodically as he stumbled through his morning routine, only partially aware of what he was doing as his brain waffled between the edge of sleep and awareness, settling on neither. Somehow, in the midst of this internal battle, he managed to get himself fed, changed into his jumper and out the door without any mishaps.

Osomatsu’s luck took him right into the heart of the sector before he slammed headlong into someone. Thankfully, it wasn’t enough force to land him on the ground, but he was briefly jarred awake as he stumbled backwards. “Oh, my bad,” he mumbled, rubbing his eyes and trying to get a better look at the person in front of him.

Ugh, when’s the last time I’ve ended up being hit with insomnia? Right, never. Must be something in this stupid city...

They kept themselves low to the ground as they readied topeek out from under their blanket. If Santa showed up early to track naughtyand nice kids, then the young human was going to catch him. Under the darknessand this blanket, there was no way Santa knew they were out here. However, whenthey peeked their head out from under the blanket, they spotted another kid.

“Pst, hey kid, you looking for Santa?”

They peeked out from under the blanket even more to gesturethey over.

“If you just stand out there like that, you’ll get caughtfor sure. You’ve got to be nice and sneaky, like me…”

Shiki had somehow found herself in District Beta. 

“Ugh, this place screams ‘annoying’.” She muttered under her breath. In truth she had no idea of how she ended up there and no real reason to stay either. After wasting an hour looking for an exit, she decided to give up and ask someone (preferably not one of those scientist guys) for the way out. Thankfully, such a person was coming her way. “Oi you, can I ask you a question?”
