Danube Great and Small Gorges represent the area consisting of the defile portion between the mouths flowing in the Danube of the Ogradena and Plavisevita rivers. It consists of two distinct areas: the Great "Kazan" and the Small "Kazan" set apart by a bay called Dubova bassinet. The Great "Kazan" has a length of 3.8 km, while the Small "Kazan" of 3.6 km. The Kazans name comes from the image seen from above which the Danube sometimes creates in these areas due to the steep slopes and whirling water that seems to boil like a Kazan. The visit of the Great Kazan and Small Kazan zone is made by a motorboat, which crosses the Danube in this area.
