matthew could easily get into it when given the chance when it came to his science knowledge , but more often than not there wasn't an ear in his personal life that really wanted to sit it out with a lecture about how the sun functioned . yet , here he was , with an open ear and a fond smile that didn't seem to care that this was going to delve into a long winded speech . a sincere smile meets the brunet's features as his gaze locks from the horizon over to arlo , seeing the softness written across his face . for a moment , he's forgotten what it was he was going to say , finding the new view something far more interesting , before pulling himself from his though to look to the setting sun .
he clears his throat before starting . " it's because when the sun is setting on the horizon , its going through a thicker portion of the atmosphere . " a fair hand comes out to point to the setting sun , following its path . " when it reaches this thicker part the blue light scatters and leaves more red and yellow light . in turn , our eyes perceive that the sun is getting redder as it sets . "
