Visiting Serah at School as she scolds some students
"Miss Farron there's a strange man outside the class room!" announced one of her students as he returned from the bathroom."Oh?" Serah asked raising an eyebrow. She grabbed a yardstick off her desk. "Alright I'll get rid of him don't you worry."She stood up from her desk chair and walked too the door. Outside she spied Riku leaning up against the door frame to a nearby closet."What are you doing here?" she asked closing the door."You forgot your lunch," he said holding up a brown lunch bag. With his other hand he held up a single pink rose. "And this.""Arn't you the gentleman?" she teased walking over to him. She leaned in closer and reached up to give him a quick peck on the lips.Suddenly she heard a chorus of tiny 'oh's' and 'ahh's' from behind her. Riku giggled and pointed back at the door."We have an audience."She turned on her heals and ushered the kids back from the door. "Back to your seats. Nothing to see it's just my fiancé. OK?""Is that Director Estheim's brother?""Enough."Riku chuckled softly into the palm of his hand before he have a short wave and walked away before he interrupted the class even further.
A storming night with Aurore
Four Years in the FutureTHIS JUST IN: an important buliten from the Academy- a severe storm warning has been issued for the immediate Academia area. You are avised to stay indoors and the use of air-vehicles is discouraged as dangerous winds and lightning strikes are expected.Riku sighed and turned the volume down on the TV to a mere mumble as he then adjusted his reading glasses and continued to tap away at his key pad- directing a few opperatives in a remote anti-Heartless campain. Serah lay next to him curled up into a half-fetal position. Asleep in the dim lighting. A loud boom of thunder cracked across the city, drawing his attention for a brief moment. The weather was hardly a worry for him but soon he heard a scrambling noise and the door opened."Daddy I'm scared!" his daughter's voice called.He turned off his laptop and beckoned for the scarred little girl in her frilly princess nightie to come over while she clutched her dirty scuffed up toy cat in one hand.Aurore clambered up onto the bed, scrambling under the covers and clinging to Riku as the storm grew ever so closer. "Make the thunder monster go away daddy! Use your keyblade!""Shush. Its just a storm, not a monster- or at least in this realm. That sound you hear? Its auntie Lightning is up in Valhalla riding Odin across the sky as she defends the Goddess alright? Nothing is going to get you here. You're safe with mommy and daddy."
Romantic picnic date with Serah
Riku smiled as his teal eyes fell upon the figure of his new fiancé walking along side him hand in hand. Their daughter Aurore was safely snuggled in her front pack, while Serah bounced along with a picnic basket handle poised in the crook of her elbow.
The evening was perfect- and Riku had decided that tonight was the night they would travel to the beach at New Bodhum to watch the sunset. The basket had been packed to the brim with some of his homemade specialties- several kinds of sushi rolls, noodles, shrimp tempura and a large green salad. Serah made chocolate cookies.
He felt her clinging to his arms, the sensation sending shivers up the limb and down his spine. This was happiness.
By the time they reached the sandy beach it was mid-evening. Riku stripped down to his swim trunks and took a few turns riding the waves before coming back to their dinner all set out on a blanket. Serah held a sleeping Aurore tightly in her arms and smiled at him as he dried off and sat down next to her, his hair still damp and salty. Colors began to paint the sky in vivid hues of pink, orange and purple- with highlights of yellow light that bounced off of the crystalized Cocoon off in the distance. Breath taking.
"This was worth waiting for," he whispered as he leaned in for a quick kiss.
[ Drabble idea: Serah and Riku buying their first baby clothes and going hom eand just curling up on the couch. The three of them together. ]
“How about this?” he asked.
“You like all the animal onesies don’t you?” Serah teased.
“I’m not putting my girl in little frilly glitter slut dresses now. If she wants those when she’s older I’ll get it then. But as long as I am dressing her we’re going for the cute animal look.”
“And here I was thinking that we were going out so I could pick some clothes out for her.”
“Fine, how about this one?”
He held up a soft powder pink dress with short puff sleeves and a ruffled princess skirt trimmed in a bit of lace with a matching ruffled cap.
He glancing from they’re little baby asleep in her stroller underneath a cow spotted fleece blanket, back to Serah who was practically glowing from excitement.
“I like that one. And we’re not gonna get away from it. She looks adorable in pink.”
~~~~ As the sun sunk low in the sky above Academia the couple made their way back to the apartment they shared, burdened with a large amount of shopping bags. Serah had insisted on getting more toys and decorations for the nursery along with new and matching bedding. (“Riku are you color blind too?”) They had even stopped for take out and movies seeing as they were all exhausted and a night on the couch seemed like a good idea. Lastly, they had bickered over which flavor ice cream to get before finally deciding on chocolate.
Serah snuggled into the corner of the couch clutching a sleeping Aurore in her arms as Riku fussed with the TV and the TV trays. They’re food was laid out, utensils procured- and at last Riku tiredly sat down next to his fiancé, and rested his head down on her shoulder as he handed her a baby bottle.
