Movies/DVD box sets. This falls under the category of "Things I would buy for myself but am too lazy to do so."

I don't care what modern media says about making a donation to a charity in someone's name. That is some wonderful human being shit right there.

The Woman on the Hill

Children in my village whisper about the woman on the hill. They says she's a demon or a vengeful ghost haunting the old house. They dare each other to touch her door. She is the villain in their games, a monster that chases them to drink their blood or suck out their souls. Sometimes, when the moon is bright and the night is clear I catch a glimpse of her staring out the window.

The woman on the hill has a scar that bisects her lips. Her shoulders and neck bear burn scars. A piece of one ear is missing. What little hair she has is snow-white and chopped down to the roots. Deep bags hang beneath her eyes and her cheeks are hollow and thin. The woman on the hill may be the ugliest creature I have ever seen.

As a child among the whispers I once asked my mother who she really was. She wouldn't answer me. Adults whisper as much as children though. They tell stories about the beautiful daughter of a rich merchant. They talk of  her engagement to the old lord in his castle and how she had the gall to question her father's actions. Mostly they talk about the night before the wedding, how she hid a knife beneath her pillow, and when they tried to take it away she plunged herself into the fire.

The woman on the hill has a scar on her lips. Burns cover her shoulders. Half her ear is gone, and she chops off her hair. The woman on the hill is the ugliest creature in the world, except for her eyes. On bright, moonlit nights I see those eyes. They burn with some inner spark the like of which I have never seen.

This morning, while I was helping mother prepare breakfast, my father said the butcher's son had asked for my hand. All I could do was look at the knife in my hands and wonder. How brave am I?

I didn't realize!

I just made plans to visit my baby boy in New York city for his birthday. Since it's his 21st, I promised I'd go to a bar with him. And I just realized...

I'm going to a bar.

In New York.

With a gay man.

It'll probably be a gay bar.

Gay bars are all fashionable and stuff right?

Your latest questionnaire has been disappointing. I was going to force you into answering an obnoxious amount of them especially since there are 99 but I found that I literally already knew the answers to exactly 88.9% of them. I'm beginning to realize that these things are probably for people who don't know you. However, this does not phase me. In light of that, here is the 11.1%. 21) Least Favorite Movie: MANOS, THE HANDS OF FATE. Fuck, that movie was terrible and I never wanna see it again.

22) Where I'd Hide Buried Treasure: I answered this in Heyoskar's question, and it was "somewhere like Central Park."

28) Ever been in Boy/Girl Scouts?: Actually, yeah. I joined Girl Scouts when I was real little 'cause I liked camping, and wanted to learn survival shit, but all we ever did was arts and crafts and cookie selling. Boring. As. Shit.

30) Last Time You Wrote a Letter on Paper: And sent it? The first year of high school Maiyo and I decided to be penpals, but it didn't get very far. Often though, I'll write letters I don't intend to send just to get my feelings out.

31) Can you Change the Oil in a Car?: lol No. I can add more oil in,  but not the draining part. I'm afraid the whole process is probably super-complicated on my mom's prius. Those things are really complicated on the inside.

42) Legos or Lincoln Logs?: I loved Lincoln Logs as a kid but I'm gonna go with Legos, because you can build a wider variety of things and their stores are awesome.

54) Ever Eat a Pierogi?: YES! Oh my god, they're awesome! Whoever thought up putting mashed potatoes inside of pasta is a genius and should win a nobel prize for deliciousness. I like 'em pan fried with a caramelized onions.

55) Favorite Fruit Pie: I don't really like most pies, fruit included, so... yeah, none.

67) Peanuts or Sunflower Seeds?: For snacking, sunflower seeds. Hands down. For overall usefulness peanuts would win, though.

70) Is there a Profession you See your Future Spouse having?: Also answered, and no, not really.

78) Who Would you Like to See in Concert?: OK Go, most definitely.

No, that’s not me. But it could be if I wanted! I totally have a full Peter Pan costume that would totally be flexible enough for it. Now I’m going to have to try that on the subway because it’s something I’ve never thought of doing and it looks fun.

19. The Perfect Date

My boyfriend and I go to the Smithsonian, and spend the day at the National Museum of Natural History. There have been rumors about strange disappearances in the area, but I'm not really worried. Besides, the news said some special detective from Britain was helping out on the case. Around closing time, we see some suspicious dude sneaking around, and decide to follow him into the bowels of the complex. He meets up with some other dudes, and they reveal that they're aliens with an evil plot and they're the ones responsible for the disappearances! My idiotic but adorable boyfriend gives us away, and the aliens are closing in on us when The Doctor shows up out of nowhere, stuns the aliens, and tells us to run.

We run to safety, and The Doctor asks us what we were doing poking around like idiots, and then is quite proud of our curiosity, but also tells us to go home. I, of course, refuse, and if my boyfriend is worth anything he'll do the same. So we start investigating and run into the Winchester brothers who are looking into the mysterious disappearances as well. The Doctor assures them that it's an alien problem and not a Supernatural one, but they don't buy it and stick around anyways. So the five of us team up and start sticking our noses everywhere they don't belong. The aliens catch us, and just when all seems lost Sherlock walks into the alien base and is quite smug to see that he was right. Watson, who still can't believe that Sherlock was right about the aliens complains that this was not how he intended to spend their honeymoon.

This is enough of a distraction for The Doctor to get free and press a lot of buttons and then we all have to run for our lives as the alien space ship starts to blow up. We make it back to the transporter just in time to make it off, and all have a good laugh about narrowly escaping death. Well, The Doctor, my boyfriend, Dean, and I do. Sam probably whines about consequences. Watson is fluffing up his feathers jumper, and is too shocked to say anything. Sherlock got over near-death situations a long time ago and is just pleased that he solved the case like a boss.

Everyone in DC thinks the exploding ship is fireworks 'cause it's the 4th of July or some shit, so we don't have to worry about that. The Winchesters admit that aliens are real and go back to fighting leviathan. Sherlock and the Doctor spends some time being quite clever at each other, and The Doctor invites Watson and him to become companions, but Watson will have none of it, and Sherlock is content enough solving Earth's greatest mysteries. The Doctor, having taken care of all his other business, returns to the TARDIS where boyfriend and I are drinking hot cocoa even though it's fucking July because that was nerve wracking and we deserve it. I ask if I can stay on as a companion and The Doctor agrees. Boyfriend decides he wants to go home though, which is just as well 'cause we've spent the last, what, 12 hours together? I'm probably sick of him by then. So we take boyfriend home, I tell my mom I'll be traveling the universe and then The Doctor and I leave to have epic adventures... after I get some fucking sleep. I mean, seriously, it's probably 6am by then.
