The Temple and the Portal (Closed)
His aura begun to examine the small tear through reality, feeling a sudden sensation of magic reaching through. When the aura finally finished and returned to him, he let out a sudden gasp, attempting to recollect his thoughts on the matter. That’s when his eyes caught the movement of fabric, and his gaze turned toward that area. Suddenly seeing a floating woman, his heart froze in place as a thousand thoughts ran through his mind. Between her, and the sword strapped to her, he couldn’t get a clear enough reading on her. That’s when he saw her destination, and immediately lunged out to stop her. “Hey! Don’t get any closer!” He shouted, attempting to get in between her, and the rift.
Elemental power whisped out of the tear, curling out of the edges and reaching for her. Eyes wide with grief and shock, Janna struggled to focus. Sacred energy hummed furiously through her, muffling her connection to the elemental plane. It was not enough, however. Being so close to the source of her creation, not even the bindings on her soul could suppress the power that reached for her just as she reached for it. Reached for promises of Dances unbound by a physical body, where she was not a singularity wrapped in a faraway god’s power. She wouldn’t be alone or trapped there, it promised. Only freedom.
Janna ignored the sensation of hands pressing against her shoulders and pressed forward, reaching for that tear.
