DIY: Tangadan Falls, La Union

Last Labor Day long weekend, my workmates and I along with my boyfriend Chad went to La Union to attend Labor Union. We didn't have a concrete plan on what we'll do there LOL. But one thing's clear in my mind, I want to relax beside the beach and at the same time, I want to visit Tangadan Falls. Finding the resources to be able to visit Tangadan Falls is quite easy with all the blogs writing about it. I planned our trek just the night before. However, there is an important missing information that I was not able to know until I was able to talk to our tour guide. I Still Call Australia Home 🇦🇺 ••• When we lived overseas, we discovered that we missed the little (or not so little) things! Regular warm sunshine, Vegemite, quality coffee, green spaces, meat pies, Tim Tams (mostly food! 😅) as well as our friends and family. We're going to the chapel 💒 ••• No, not for a wedding - calm down! Our recent travels through Scandinavia took us up to Gammelstad, one of the last remaining traditional church towns in Northern Europe. ••• We knew little before venturing here. As we wandered past the red cottages, it eerily felt like a ghost town. We soon learnt that no one lives in the cottages full-time as there is no running water or electricity! Instead, the owners come a few times a year (the cottages were designed for short stays) to attend High Mass, attend markets and for midsummer celebration. This tradition lives on from as far back as the 17th century. ••• It was fascinating to see and learn about a part of Sweden’s history.
