happy sarczerny sunday!

bluesey i love you (again one of my fav hetero ships of all time) but there is something so tragic about sarczerny that i love. not as an endgame but as a tragic what-if. maybe if blue wasn't literally fated to fall in love with gansey, maybe if noah hadn't died (and was their age), maybe maybe maybe. they could never be together but maybe blue always feels a little sad about it. maybe she feels a little hollow sometimes when she hears a blink-182 song or sees a pair of black chucks or a guy skateboarding. maybe she doesn't know why, because she doesn't even remember noah. maybe she can't feels a little twist in her stomach when she looks back on The Kiss with gansey as her first kiss. idk i just think sarczerny as a concept is so sad and lovely and maybe i will write a sarczerny fic one day. they make me feel a lot of emotions. i'd say yes if noah was alive and asked me out too i think.

Okay but

Imagine being Gansey and Ronan, just sitting there knowing how unloved and unwanted Adam feels. This boy that you are completely and utterly in love with.

Not to down play or invalidate Adam’s experience of abuse and his feelings, but there was never a moment in those books where Adam wasn’t loved. Ever since Adam stepped onto those pages he was loved. It’s not exactly subtle that Ronan loves Adam or even Gansey for that matter. And it’s obvious Blue and Noah love and care about Adam, clearly on a different level/different way then Gansey and Ronan, but they still did. Imagine being Ronan and Gansey and how helpless and terrible they must have felt when the person they were in love with felt like that? Or even Blue when she had to tell Adam she didn’t love him /that/ way because she did feel for him, but just not the way he had wanted.
