Dating Tre

(⚠️ this is not a representation of who Tre is and as per the title - these are just headcanons ⚠️)

Quick a/n - I don’t know much about Tre or the Wizards so I have done some research and I did my best to write him as well as I could ~ hope you enjoy 🤍

Also this is supposed to be headcanons but I wanted to make a more detailed “how you met” section because WHY NOT 😛

How you met:

- The two of you met in college through a mutual friend.

- It was at a dorm hangout, one of those crowded, slightly messy ones where music blasted through cheap speakers and everyone was either laughing too loud or talking over each other

- A circle had formed in the middle of the room, bodies pressed close as you all played a game of dare or drink.

- You sat beside your friends, half-listening, half-scrolling on your phone.

- One of the guys across the circle caught your eye, and for some reason… you couldn’t stop looking

- You kept stealing glances. Quick, subtle, you didn’t want to get caught

- But what you didn’t notice was he was doing the exact same thing.

- Your friend noticed before you did. The lingering eye contact, the shy smiles, the way his gaze stayed on you just a second too long

- It was finally your friend’s turn to give out a dare. And of course she was up to no good

- “Y/n I dare you and Tre to do 7 minutes in heaven in one of the rooms”

- Your eyes widened instantly, your head snapping toward her

- “You can’t be forreal”

- The room erupted. Teasing, “oooohs,” people hyping it up way too much. Heat rushed to your face as all eyes landed on you

- Tre stood first making his way over to you before offering his hand out like a gentleman, that signature smile sitting effortlessly on his lips

- You placed your hand in his, letting him pull you up, trying to ignore how your heart sped up just from that small touch

- Your friend rushed ahead, opening the door with way too much excitement before practically pushing you both inside

- The door clicked shut behind you and suddenly it was silence…

- You couldn’t see him clearly but you could feel him close

- “So… what’s your name?” Tre’s voice cut through the quiet, low and smooth

- “Y/n… you?” you asked, your eyes adjusting just enough to make out his silhouette

- “Tre. Nice to meet you,” he said, stepping closer reaching for your hand again. His fingers wrapped around yours.

- You shook his hand softly, a small smile forming despite the situation

- The awkwardness lingered for a moment…Then slowly, surprisingly, it faded

- The two of you fell into a natural conversation. He told you about his dreams, about making it pro and getting into the NBA. You told him about your passions, your hobbies, the little things that made you you

- “You’re cool people y/n,” he said softly, his thumb brushing over your hand absentmindedly

- You looked up at him, smiling

- “So are you, Tre.”

- The room fell quiet again after your last words, the air suddenly feeling… heavier

- Neither of you moved for a second like you were both aware of something shifting but neither wanted to be the first to acknowledge it

- He stepped just a little closer. Not enough to be obvious but enough for you to notice

- “You nervous?” he asked, a small smirk in his voice

- You let out a quiet laugh, folding your arms slightly like that would somehow make you sound more credible

- “No,” you lied

- He hummed softly like he didn’t believe you for a second

- “A little,” you admitted after a pause

- “Yeah… me too,” he said, quieter this time

- That surprised you a little, considering his confidence from before. You glanced up at him properly now, your eyes adjusting more to the dim light

- He was already looking at you, but this time his gaze was unwavering

- Your breath caught slightly as he took another step closer, closing the space between you

- You could feel the warmth coming off him

- You were close enough to notice the details. The way his lips parted slightly, the way his gaze kept flicking down to your mouth, then back to your eyes.

- “We don’t actually have to… you know,” he said softly

- “I know,” you said, but neither of you moved away

- His hand brushed against yours again, this time not by accident, but like he was trying to tease you

- “You’re thinking about it too, huh,” he murmured

- “…maybe”

- He leaned in, slow enough to give you time to pull away, but close enough you could feel his breath against your lips

- Your heart was racing now, your free hand gripping lightly onto his shirt

- “TIME’S UPPPP!” someone shouted from outside

- You both pulled back instantly, like you’d been caught doing something you shouldn’t

- Let’s just say the two of you grew close to each other really fast after this night.

- And the rest was history…

Relationship Dynamics:

-Ever since Tre made it to the NBA, his focus has been on his career, but somehow he still finds time to make sure you never feel anything less than his priority.

- He didn’t show that side of himself to many people, but with you… he was a lover boy through and through.

- You always made it a point to be there for each other’s accomplishments. Whether it was you attending his draft night, or him showing up just as proudly for your own milestones.

- You made the decision to move in with him in Washington, and even with all the uncertainty that came with it, he made sure you felt safe, comfortable, and reassured at every moment.

- For example, there was a time when you were going through a period of self-doubt, constantly questioning yourself and fearing you wouldn’t be able to pursue your dream career in Washington.

- After a long day filled with tears and venting, Tre made it his goal to cheer you up. Getting your favorite flowers, snacks, and takeout, and even renting out a private screening room just to watch your favorite movie with you.

- “I know things feel heavy right now, but I’ve got you, baby… always,” he whispered against your ear, his hand gently soothing your thigh as you curled into his lap, letting yourself relax in his hold.

- He kept your relationship private, not to hide you, but because he was still adjusting to the spotlight, and his priority was making sure you felt comfortable and protected before anything else.

- You appreciated that side of him. He brought you around his teammates, and they welcomed you instantly. You’d all hang out like it was normal, but the second anyone got suspicious, they’d switch it up real quick and say you were just the new admin.

- His love language includes acts of service, words of affirmation and obviously physical touch.

- Tre was the type to show love through actions. You always knew he was destined for the NBA, but even with all the pressure that came with it, he made sure you were always taken care of.

- On the nights you couldn’t make it to his away games, he’d still make sure you felt included ordering your favorite food so you could watch him play like you were right there with him.

- Or get your favourite flowers delivered so you could think of him

- Sometimes he would call you out of no where just to ask you what you needed or wanted

- “Is there anything you need bae? Let me know and I’ll get it for you”

- “I saw you are running out of your favourite conditioner, I got a couple of tubs so you are stocked up. Should be there today”

- Not only but he is the type of guy to constantly talk you thought his love for you.

- Yes he talks you through it. Every single time

- “You are the only one for me, the only girl I need in my life, you know that?”

- HE IS CLINGY

- “I love you so much, you don’t even understand I want to live in your skin”

- he’d whisper, pressing his face into your chest, finding comfort in the quiet rhythm of your heartbeat.

- “I can feel your heart beating faster…” he whispered, his lips brushing close as a knowing smirk spread across his face.

- “Because you’re literally trying to crawl into my skin, Tre… how could my heart not beat faster?” you said, laughing softly.

- “Nah… it’s because you’re in love with me,” he murmured, his voice low, a knowing smirk still tugging at his lips.

- “Yeah yeah… you caught me, I guess,” you said, rolling your eyes, earning a burst of laughter from

- He even insists on doing your nighttime routine with you. Face masks, skincare, all of it, just so he can be close to you a little longer.

- He even got you matching pajamas, making it a habit for you both to wear them during your FaceTime calls, just so it felt like you were together, even when you weren’t.

- Even with all the hard work and constant time away during the NBA season, he never lets you feel second—always making sure you know you’re his priority.

- He claims he’s not jealous, but the second someone gets too comfortable around you his stare alone is enough to warn them, and if they don’t get the hint, he doesn’t hesitate to pull you away.

- He loves having you at his games, knowing you’re there supporting him. He makes sure you’re taken care of, the best seats, your favorite snacks and he can’t help but smile every time he looks over and sees you watching him.

- He loves seeing you in his clothes, always letting you raid his wardrobe even if everything is way too big on you. If anything, that’s what makes it even better to him.
