More ttrpg character posting! This is Dàfyl fal Hásketh, née Ledensen, a terrifying shieldmaiden who I’m playing in a one-on-one Hârnmaster campaign! She’s seen a ghost, killed a man at a religious festival, seen visions of her god, obtained a sword with runes she can’t read, been adopted by a far wealthier and more prestigious clan, demolished a cult of assassins, and is currently leading a mercenary company into battle for the first time. 

Likes: strict warrior codes, her god, his wives, the satisfying crunch an axe makes when it hits a pelvis

Dislikes: ghosts, squid, dishonour

Hârnmaster is one of the best systems I’ve played recently, with lots of fun chunky rolling in character creation. Also you can really crunch into someone’s pelvis with an axe and it absolutely ruins their day. Excellent system.

Another TTRPG character! Another lady with a sword. Are you sensing a pattern yet?

This was for a Blades In The Dark game, a really interesting system for heists, gangs and crime in a ghostpunk city powered by the blood of demon whales. Highly recommend.

“Iskander Thorn” (not her real name), also known by her crimesona/alias “Claymore”, is a Whisper, a specialist in dealing with ghosts and the occult - in her case, mainly through invoking bolts of lightning and cultivating unhealthy relationships with demons. She’s a former mercenary who ended up on the losing side of a nasty war, and was last seen disappearing inside a water-filled diving suit. I’m sure she’s fine.

The rest of her crew, as seen shortly before a brawl broke out at the Old Forge tavern, are Soot (the young lady with a demon eye and a tail), Chase (the older gentleman with one eye, one arm and a bad attitude) and Shepherd (the fellow with the ominous hat).

“Alex London” is an alternative/parallel universe/very lost version of her in the Heaven’s On Fire system and world (an orbital ring over a cyberpunk Earth), which is Blades but cyberpunk.

Another character, and the namesake of this account! Treason Against A Tyrant King is from an Icon game (essentially fantasy Lancer, excellent tactical combat). She’s a Trogg Sealer, one of an order of warrior monks dedicated to sealing evil invasive dungeons. She’s excellent at manipulating the internal politics and intrigues of her order and built like a brick shithouse, but rather insecure about her lack of actual sealing experience - her outing with the party was her first time venturing into an actual dungeon. Once opened a locked chest by hurling it down a very very long flight of stairs. The contents was… damaged, but by the gods that chest was open.

Saving the best till last, this is Morgan! Aka Morgana “Morgi” Angharad fverch Dagon ap Rastopher Vandimir, ferch Mayling von Vahaus. She’s a feudal noble from an ocean planet I played in a long-running Stars Without Number campaign. A feudal engine of violence with a habit of taking trophies and a deeply held delusion of invincibility (buoyed by extensive subdermal armour implants), her standout moments include:

•Winning a duel over a starship by simply waiting to get shot in the face then firing back.

•Developing psychic powers after ingesting space rock (despite a superstitious phobia of “witches”).

•Stepping up to fight a bioengineered horror in melee as a delaying action.

•“Winning” another duel (surviving until another party member sniped them) after being poisoned, hacked about, and set upon by a giant cat.

•Killing three elite psychic commandos in six seconds.

•Dealing with an anomalous silicon intelligence by launching it bodily into the system’s sun.

She’ll always be my blorbo, probably my favourite character in years of roleplaying. Shine on you crazy 21 year old dolt.

The character posting continues! This is Prosperina Iseva Kulkand, aka Prosper Cull, a hacker and infiltrator from a game of Cities Without Number (cyberpunk sandbox!) set on Mars. Born in the dusty wastes of the Central Asian Disputed Zone, Prosper Cull emigrated to Mars after running with dangerous operator packs to survive. The opportunity that brought her to Mars turned out to be nothing but dreams, so she’s been forced back into operator work to avoid starvation. Mostly travels using her bus pass. Her first payday was mainly spent on an advanced sword, because I am nothing if not consistent in my common character traits.

I haven’t been in a ttrpg game for… way too long, but after a chat about settings with a friend, I redrew some old art for a character i never actually got to play - or even properly write up. Septima Al-Faris, space heretic, bodyguard, not!Fremen and so cool she inspired an entire religious group in one of my settings.
