Once again, it's Free Friday on Tunesfeed. Today, I'm highlighting Florida artist tree hopping, aka Gabriel Berrios. Playing self described "tropical worldbeat", Berrios records samples of some instruments and programs others. For this album, the guitar was recorded all in one take.
The vocals seem less important than the lovingly crafted instrumental arrangements on this track. It's easy to just sit back and listen.

As the flannel-wearing season approaches, few things capture the last breaths of summer like Bayatas. The warm breeze sent from Miami, FL by Gabriel Berrios sends a tropical storm of bouncing bass lines, bright summertime guitar riffs, and Calypso drum beats. If it seems like Bayatas sounds familiar, it may be because Berrios was the mastermind of the similar indie-worldbeat band Tree Hopping. With either project, the sounds certainly inject a vigorous dose of summertime into any listener, no matter the climate.
