Thinking about a random ‘background’ (he dosen’t appear in the work but is mentioned a few times) character from a novel I wrote years ago. Ban is outgoing, enthusiastic, and easily invested. Cerris was quite taken with this, given it’s novelty to her. The two found they shared many commonalities, including strong loyalties to their homelands, love for the vibrancy of the world, and hope for the future (along with wit, humor, and gentleness). Their union was secret, frowned upon, and eventually divided through outside circumstance. Arthur ended up a salty little bastard.
