So since the ask box is open, I have a question for you.

How much stuff can you stuff in a Stuffie until you've stuffed enough stuff?

It all started with an ad for the product and now I feel the need to ask everyone I can. I even made a tumblr poll for it.

I'm just curious if you have an idea or not. Sorry if I'm just bothering you instead.

I'd guess you know enough stuffing has been stuffed when the Stuffie becomes buff. XD

What if the in lore reason for the art block is that we wanted to give them a break? I'm probably not caught up, but last I saw they were dealing with the loss of Charizard/Red, so what if we decided to just give them a bit to come to terms with it? Just a thought I had. Sorry if it doesn't work with the story you have in mind.

an interesting idea, but i don't think i'd like to do that right now...! the problem is, i don't want to canonically acknowledge my hiatuses. i like to think that canonically, the players are still playing the game every day (even if they neglect to update the blog to reflect it) because cody has explicitly stated that it causes them anxiety when there's nobody around to play the game, or at least leave it running while it's not being played. if the game was left untouched for more than a few days, cody would probably start to worry that something bad had happened to the game, whether it be lost or damaged. or worse, cody could assume that the players decided to betray them and give blastoise what it wanted and purposefully abandon the game.

and abandoning the game for a whole month or more, just to (in the player's POV) "help" cody? they'd be pretty unhappy with the player for doing that to them.

and while that would be an interesting part of cody's character to address, i wouldn't want it for this part of the story specifically. cody is still coming down from the high of killing charizard, and i wouldn't want to disrupt how they're feeling about it right now. there are multiple questions sitting in the inbox relating to the story's current events, and i wouldn't want to throw those away in favor of having cody get upset with their players over a hiatus that is my fault, not theirs.

the answers to those questions are fully written and waiting to be drawn for - i am prepared to pick up right where we left off as soon as i'm ready to start drawing again.

i just feel bad making people wait for it, aha...! i hope it doesn't hurt peoples' immersion too badly. as much as i'd like to write an in-universe reason for the hiatus, it just isn't a good time for that in this part of the story...
