....In a world of imperfect photos...there is...A Happy Holidays pic with a Merry Christmas bubble...a cut off star and mysterious light in the distance....texted presents and the happy face sunglass Santa hat guy🤣🤣🤣.... No but seriously Merry Christmas from my house to yours. I used old bulbs and new ones plus tiny leds throughout. It’s perfect putting up and easy going down but the ultimate reason for the season is none of this at all...It’s 18 days until my Lord and Saviors Birthday...He is always perfect..He is always in season and I am so glad that I am in the land of the living to praise him name. He deserves the praise forever and we are grateful to do his will daily. Tree is up! ✨🎄✨⠀ Is it fancy? No⠀ Do we love it? Absolutely #beautifuldisaster⠀ ⠀ Every decoration on our tree is either hand made, given as a gift from someone special in our lives or decorations from when Jason and I first moved to Edmonton #vintage #christmas1991 ⠀ ⠀ Our tree is 100% decorated with memories and love. Even the tree itself has memories for me and Jason, it was our first tree when we moved into our house in 2003. ⠀ ⠀ For many years I thought “one day I’m going to go out and buy all new decorations for our tree!!” I love the silver/gold look. But since finding out about my cancer, I am so glad I didn’t go through with it. ⠀ ⠀ Christmas is about family, love and giving. Christmas is about miracles, spirit and joy. ⠀ Christmas is about tradition, connection and smiles. ⠀ ⠀ As a little girl, getting that “Easy Bake Oven” may have been the best thing EVER.. but now looking back.. that’s not the memory that brings me joy..⠀ ✨ Going to find a Christmas tree together, stringing popcorn and decorating with all of our foster brothers and sisters. ⠀ ✨ Spending Christmas Eve with all of my cousins, aunts and uncles. The laughter, the games, the food.⠀ ✨ Me and my sister @rondawhitrow waking up early Christmas morning, giggling trying not to wake up dad, and getting yelled at to “get back to bed” 🤣😁 ps. We’d still be giggling when we got back into our beds. ⠀ ✨ Boxing Day candies at Grandma’s house.
