Last days to enjoy this huge patch of greenery and decades old trees along Kallang. Quite a number of showhouses have been built on fields that used to house herons, egrets, bitterns and all kinds of birds. The green patches and these trees will soon be the made-over Kampong Bugis district. In the next decade, the precinct will be redeveloped into a car-lite, waterfront district with about 4,000 new private residential units.
