Dutch Nordic folk artist Kati Rán released Sála, her first solo album after the dissolution of her former band, L.E.A.F. With 13 tracks, Sála ("soul", "sea") was conceived with the close collaboration of Finnish producer Jaani Peuhu.

When we ask why black metal is such a seemingly asexual musical genre, [Gaahl] doesn't understand the question.

"What do you mean? I'm not a sexual person, I don't think in those terms."

"But you have sex, right?"

"No, I don't, actually. I don't understand why people have that urge, because I don't understand sex. I call myself a homophile, but not homosexual. For me, it's aesthetic attraction. I think people get too caught up in sex."
