i'm still on my trentblas bullshit btw. yes, yes, their mirrored(sorta) trajectories between heaven and hell compel me deeply--but also, i think it would be very very funny if trent's inability to answer xaphan when she questions him is partly bc he's getting flashbacks to shoving his face into hornblas's untrimmed bush. like all he can think about is that this weird band probably thinks he murdered hornblas, so in his head he's just frantically going nooooooo!! no i didn't kill him i just sent him to heaven! if ya know what i mean,,,
