Trepan looks startled when he heard the click. Reaching up to touch his own neck and looking at his supposed ‘patient’. “...W-wha? W-what did you just put one me!?”

“I was not aware of this. I should get a gift and a congratulations card together. Sparklings...Such bundles of joy.” He giggles.

Another weird factoid about g1 is one episode revealed the Constructicons were Autobots originally, but Megatron used a device called the RoboSmasher to reprogram them into decepticons, & that the victims of the RoboSmasher can never be freed. Optimus Prime's lines in the episode indicates a sizable portion of the Decepticon forces in the original cartoon are brainwashed.
