Psychic Ills - The Echo, Los Angeles, California, August 23, 2017
As if things aren’t bad enough currently, news broke yesterday that Tres Warren, founder of the great Psychic Ills, has passed away. So sad. Psychic Ills covered a lot of sonic territory, but they always did it with style and grace. I didn’t really know Tres, but we had struck up an occasional online correspondence over the last five years and he seemed incredibly open-hearted and friendly, always floating through the Internet with a kind word of encouragement about something I’d written, or an enthusiastic recommendation of a record to check out. My heart goes out to his friends, family and bandmates ... RIP.
