headcanons about fire elementals!

🔥 fire elementals are pretty much like wind elementals, but fire.

🔥 they can either heal using their flames, or kill with it.

🔥 they mostly reside around volcanoes, or in the volcano itself.

🔥 their core is their heart, which is said can be eaten by humans to gain immortality, or simply longevity.

🔥 can also be used to regrow other body parts, or even revive someone who just died, in exchange for a lifetime (they won't be reincarnated for a good while)

🔥 their emotions affect their abilities, since their core is their heart; if they're happy, they can heal better, if they're angry, their fire power spikes, if they're sad, they cannot heal, nor produce heat--it can be lethal when they're heartbroken, because their heart loses its heat and grows colder the longer that they're heartbroken.

🔥 with that being said, most female fire elementals are maidens; it is to prevent themselves from dying from heartbreak, and they don't particularly like men who are weaker than them. #girlpower

Name: Beata Cayadong Nickname: Atang/Bea/Bibi Race: manananggal Abilities: flight, stealth & agility; a keener sense of hearing and scent Quirks: currently works as one of The Diabolical’s staff; wants to be human; tries hard to either be vegetarian (ie - not eat humans) or to eat “ethically-sourced” meat; has the worst luck of falling for her boss’ eldest brother - carlos trese - a famous aswang hunter - after her saved her from getting kidnapped by a group of aswang; she's kikay personified! but don't let her catch you trying to take advantage of someone who's had too much to drink. the pink smoothie she's fond of isn't always strawberry.

She was found as a toddler and raised by a former mananabang (midwife) from Leyte named Eustiquia. The midwife is a middle-aged widow who didn’t have her own children, and her only companion is her dog named ‘Paghot’ (Bark - because he’s noisy!), and the villagers who would come to her for help. But Ekiang was then shunned by the community for raising a monster. The healer reasoned that Beata was nothing but a child - she was even christened by a priest from the next town - but the villager’s fears weren’t unfounded. Creatures of midnight are feared for a reason.

An opportunity to go to Manila came up, so Ekiang and Beata went to Manila and stayed with Ekiang’s sister. Ekiang was a hired help at an eatery ran by her sister's friend, while Bea - as she asked to be called since Atang sounds sooo probinsyana - attended the nearby public school and helped at the small restaurant during the weekends.

The story of how she met Alexandra Trese is honestly a ripoff of Promising Young Woman - only, unlike Cassie, Bea was able to get her revenge.

Enough angst, time for all-out kalat UP doesn't even have a uniform but witnessing Sab attending one of Enrique's classes was enough to feed Basilio's schoolgirl fetish. One thing led to another, and they snuck into the classroom where Rick's classes are held to roleplay. I might write something out of this.

Meet my Tresesona Boots. She's a cat sigbin/werecat! I based her off the way I dressed five years ago, my own cat, and the cat I always used to pet at Sarah's UPD

Full Name: Freya De Leon Known Aliases: Boots (main), Eya (by family members), Puss in Boots (by Hank), Kitty (by various people; mostly by the Kambal, esp. Basilio), Selina Kyle Knock-off Gender: Female Species: Sigbin, cat variety Base of Operations: Kalaw Kitty Collective Occupation: "Freelancer"

Background The oldest from a litter of five, Boots was raised alone by her father. She never knew her mother, but every night, her father in his cat sigbin form would yowl at the moon, waiting his lover's return.

During her early teens, her family fell victim to a kidnapping ring that targeted sigbin. Anton and Alex Trese manages to rescue them, but Boots' father succumbs to his injuries. Orphaned, they stayed with the Treses for a short while, before they decided to let Manang Muning foster the litter. Boots consider this a huge utang na loob to the Treses and to Manang Muning, and she tries to assist them when she can. At some point, she establishes the Kalaw Kitty Collective, which fosters both cats, and orphaned cat sigbins. She regularly donates cat food for her "siblings" under Manang Muning's care.

Currently, she describes herself as a "freelancer", unable to hold any permanent jobs, but still thriving nonetheless. She reassures Trese that all of her sources of income are legitimate. One of her part-time jobs is serving as a bouncer in The Diabolical. Being a lady makes her a better candidate for handling female patrons, and her keen senses as a sigbin allows her to react swiftly to trouble, such as sniffing drinks for poison, drugs, or even gayuma.

Abilities Shapeshifing: Boots can shift to her sigbin form: a house cat. Keen senses: As a cat sigbin, Boots' senses are as good as a cat's. However, a drawback of this feat is a vulnerability to sensory overload. Agility: Boots move with cat-like grace, and can land from high places uninjured.

Appearance In her human form, Boots is a young woman with light beige skin and wavy black hair chopped short into a pixie cut. She's of short stature with a toned physique. Boots is rarely seen not wearing boots, contributing to her nickname. She often wears shades due to her sensitive eyes. She often wears a choker.

In her sigbin form, Boots takes the form of a small cat with a tuxedo coat and bright yellow eyes. Her paws are white, which looks like little boots on her feet, contributing to her moniker. The choker she wears in her human form doubles as a collar.

Personality Boots is laid-back, independent, friendly, and affectionate. However, she prefers receiving affection on her own terms. Boots also has a mischievous streak, and a perverse sense of humor, both of which she doesn't hide from other people. Though she struggles with keeping her life together and has a tendency to disappear from time to time, she's reliable when needed the most.

On the flip side, she has a tendency to be catty towards those she perceives as threats to herself, her friends, or her territory. When her hunting instincts kick in, it can get bloody, despite her size.

Trivia, Quirks, and Interactions Boots' favorite color is black. Her favorite food is sinigang na salmon sa miso.

Her hobbies include reading and drawing. Boots tried crocheting once, but she ended up entangled in a ball of yarn.

When bored, she hunts mice in the Diabolical's cellar, but she doesn't eat them. Yuck. Hank pays her in fish for the pest control.

She once clawed a patron's eye out when she caught him putting something in his date's drink. She presented the eyeball to Alexandra as evidence. After the Kambal threw the guy out, Hank treated her to her favorite dish.

Boots loves to nap on people in her cat form, much to Basilio's dismay, partly because it takes forever to get her fur off whenever she chooses him, and partly because she doesn't do that in her human form.

Boots will sometimes shift to her cat form to beg for food and pets from unsuspecting people.

On the flip side, if she is fond of you, she will leave you snacks and trinkets, much like how a cat hunts to provide for their colonies.
