Reduction, Repetition and Progression

Tresque continues his "Ereignisse" (incidents) series with his 3-track "Ereignisse (part.2)" EP. The Geneva-based artist - who is also know for his experimental work as "D'Incise", and part of the conceptual trio "La Tène" - merges his interest in radicalism, reduction and repetition with his vision of a pure form of Techno. His core ingredients are sonic force, repetition and progression. "Ereignisse (part.2)" opens with a slow burner: "Hanyatlas" builds on a siren-like synth figure that is beleaguered by Tresque's crystal clear drum work. "Souke" picks up the mood and transforms it into a fast-paced piece of Techno, while "Rauheit" steadily shifts the focus through the frequency range, extracting one detail after another.

Tresque has previoulsy released the «Ereignisse (part.1)», «Lensomni», «Aindanao» and «Geissle» EPs on -OUS.

Tresque returns to -OUS with «Ereignisse (part.1)» , a three track EP on which he continues his quest for a pure and self-contained form of Techno. By stripping it from any claptraps, Tresque reveals the core of his approach: force, repetition and progression. «Enbas», «Innae» and «Orage» are timeless pieces of music for never-ending dance floor rituals. They invite the mind to meander and fill in the space between the voluptuous low end and the ever-evolving rhythmic patterns swirling above.

Coming from an extended artistic career as improvisation and experimental musician, Geneva’s D’Incise returns to his roots under his moniker Tresque. Inspired by restless dances and the sensation of seemingly endless potential, he explored the links between advanced Techno, Dub and Minimalism with a polyrhythmic approach. Tresque adopts an attitude of purism to formulate an own take on the nature of traditions and rituals.

Tresque has released the «Lensomni», «Aindanao» and «Geissle» EPs on -OUS, «Tendresse, Encore» on ZamZam Records and «Vai e Vem» on Care of Editions.

Tresque continues to strive towards his unique hedonistic feel for progression and tribalism on the Aindanão EP. His minimalist techno sound is defined by unlikely shifting patterns that aim directly into your muscle memory.

After his Lensomni EP and Geissle EP on -OUS and an EP on "Care of Editions", Tresque shifts his pace and delivers two hypnotic dancefloor tools on the Aindanão EP.

TRESQUE

Tresque it’s the name of an almost forgotten medieval dance turned into “an idea of Techno”. Laurent Peter aka D’Incise enters the dance floor - site of the gathering - from the side, with an eye on traditions, construction of reality and fantasy, and the tension between statism and evolution.

Coming from an extended artistic career as improvisation and experimental musician, Tresque returns to his roots that lie in dub music and the sound system culture. The pulse has been growing, slowly and deeply, shaping an idea of groove by reducing it to a simpler and shorter form. In circular movements, Tresque carves his music out of samples and amplified noises using dub techniques and influenced by musique contcrète.
