Holy crap. Holy crap. Holycrapholycrapholycrap. HOLY CRAP.
Dallas Freaking Texas. I'll never simply refer to you as Dallas ever again, because after our show in your lovely city I know that there's more love and light here then one can shake a stick at. Is that what you do to love and light, shake a stick at it? Anyway, it doesn't matter. I haven't experienced that much sheer volume at a gig in my life- when you can't hear the show through your in ear monitors because the crowd's yelling so fucking loud that, THAT's a good night, a great night, a one of a kind night. This, dear Dallas Allen Stone Band fans, is why you shall forever be known as Dallas Freaking Texas. Or Dallas Fucking Texas if I'd had a few tequilas. Or Dalsife789638hrh793, if I've had MANY tequilas and am typing.
I had no idea our music was this well received in Dallas. Texas has always been good to us, but I'd never pegged Dallas as a soul town. I was wrong, to put it mildly. DAMN. What a gift our gig at the Granada was. We're out promoting the upcoming Radius release and it's always a little nerve wracking hitting a town with new material for the first time, especially when that new material isn't even out yet. It's early in the tour, we're still figuring out the routine and getting shit dialed in, so everyone's tired. That we were received with so much love lifted our spirits at just the right time and we'll carry that with us for the rest of the tour. It was amazing watching the concert footage y'all posted on Instagram- you can't hear a goddamn note because of all the screaming! Man, if you could have seen the smiles on our faces.
Here's to the great state of Texas, Tequila, and Trevor (that's me)!
