Tbh these changes to the Phantom Manor plot are weird
They are weird. One thing I haven't talked about yet is how confused I am by the multiple suitors. Who's hanging? There's only four tombs at the end, so is it one of the guys in the portraits? Was there a fifth groom? Is she that upset about them? Or is it she's upset about the constant death in her life? Little of column A, little of column B? Are we still attending a wedding party? Is that why she's in the dress? I guess the last one was *the* one, as opposed to the other suitors? But if she's that distraught over them/him, why is she so keen to find another spouse out of a line of complete strangers? Is any of this explained, and I just didn't hear it in the narration? (Very possible.) Does it really all just boil down to her wanting to get married? To anyone? As a means to escape her traumatic lonliness and isolation after two centuries of abuse? And this is all done with a coy little giggle? Really?... Really?
