there was this discussion (? i hesitate to even call it that because it was an inciting post that had a bunch of qrts kind of thing) on toku twitter that was really stupid all the way down so it's a waste of time to get deep into it but basically the initial post was someone trying to apply the "all art is political" statement to toku and their examples were kyuranger and exaid the gamer doctor show

i'm still thinking about this because even if you aren't familiar with ultraman the show that is 50% about military response to national threats there are maybe slightly better choices among toei shows to make that point with
