I am very close to writing some sort of essay about Triangle and Robert, except it would more likely be some sort of unstructured rambling.

is female characters all being rectangles a flatland reference? all the women are lines in that book. its not quite the same i suppose?
It’s a good question! Certainly the author was familiar with Flatland. Later strips go a bit into how T&R’s polygon society views people differently based on shape, but the way that works is pretty different, and gender is hardly ever directly addressed. My guess is there’s some Flatland influence here, but we may never know for sure.
The vast majority of the strip’s characters are male, so it’s not very surprising that the convention for markedness works out this way.
it might be good to put a link to wherever TaR can be read into this blogs description. current search engines are so abysmally bad that they cant seem to find it. unless its just not online anymore
I hadn't realized Google had gotten that bad at tracking Triangle and Robert info! I've updated my description to link to the excellent froup.com fan archive. Thank you for the suggestion!
at a rate of one strip a day, how many years will this podcast run for?
There are 2544 strips, so about seven years.
