"Tragically, Thurman contracted malaria while on location in Florida for the film Down Upon the Suwanee River (Royal Palm-Lee-Bradford 1925). Though she initially appeared to overcome the malaria, she then contracted pneumonia and died at 32 in the Flowers Hospital in New York City."

Both were in Mack Sennett talkies and later in his funeral.

"Tom was a former professional boxer who put his imposing figure to good use in several dozen Sennett shorts and features made during 1915-19, before he left for Fox Sunshine Comedies. He returned years later for a couple of 1932 sound shorts. New York City-born, Kennedy won the AAU amateur heavyweight boxing title in 1908 and fought many top heavyweight bouts in the New York are in 1911-1914."
