Also i will say if u enjoyed queer themes in tbp PLEASEEE check out "shape shift with me" by against me! its SUCH a good album and captures the queer experience so well. laura jane grace is fucking awesome i need wveryone to listen to her stuff. transgender dysphoria blues is also rlly good but shape shift with me is like my ultimate favorite

idk if youve picked up it yet you probably have but tbp is a concept album about dying specifically of cancer and the main character, the patient, reflecting on his life. so the songs deal with death and his thoughts on his life until now and worries about what this all means and in songs like house of wolves knowing that hes done wrong and that if there is a hell he will go there. the ending is left ambiguous as to whether he actually comes back from the dead or is just accepting that hes dead but yeah! its cool. all their albums are concept albums to some extent and i think its neat

yea, i've been reading the lyrics on Genius while i listen (bc otherwise i wont understand a good half or third or the lyrics under the instrumentals) and Genius provides synopses for each song at the top

It's really compelling stuff. i know some of my posts and comments about a few songs have sounded super flippant but Im not actually that uncaring.
